Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of machine that could carry loads which are approximately 30,000 pounds is a forklift. A forklift is also referred to as a counterbalance. Despite being sturdy and big, these industrial machines still bear the potential chance of crash or accident. In order to be safe, be certain to have operators put on an appropriate seat belt in the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are also on board. We all know that seat belts could save lives in case of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The types of seat belts which could extend both over the lap and across the upper body are the three-point seat belts. These kinds of belts offer an added degree of safety by protecting your body. They are available in both bucket-seat and bench-seat types. The 3-point seat belts are offered in either retractable and non-retractable kinds.
The majority of modern motor vehicles available provide retractable seat belts. While non-retractable types increase safety, retractable types provide more comfort. It is truly impossible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are those that extend over the lower part of the body. Most lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, simply press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type which force forklift operators to wear a seat belt. These kinds of seat belts have a micro-switch attached which enables an alarm to sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is unsecured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band types.
