Used Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Riverside

Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also referred to as pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are utilized to move materials and things around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that can lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by a single individual.

Pallet trucks should be operated with care to avoid loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Equipment must be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be carefully stacked to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.

On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level situated on the inside of the metal loop to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks could then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be at the center in order to guarantee even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.

Move the pallet by pulling on the handle and then dragging it behind you. It is not safe to push the pallet in front of you because the momentum could cause it to go out of control. Slowly take turns and don't attempt to stop suddenly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent location.
